Audi Group: moving at high speed
Munich, March 10, 2014
The Audi Group is presenting new models, innovative technologies and scintillating motor racing highlights at an event taking place on the evening before its Annual Press Conference at the Audi Approved plus Center in Munich. “This evening illustrates the breathtaking speed with which our 10,000 engineers, technicians and designers are unfurling innovations. Over 1,000 patents in 2013 prove we are going the right way about preparing for the future,” declares Rupert Stadler, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG.
The star of the evening is the new Audi TTS*. The design icon offers a blend of high performance and high tech, with its Audi virtual cockpit redefining the benchmark in the automotive industry. The Audi subsidiaries, too, are unveiling their new models in front of more than 300 international and national journalists: The supercar manufacturer Lamborghini is taking the wraps off the all-new Lamborghini Huracán*. The motorcycle brand Ducati is celebrating the dynamic world premiere of the Ducati Desmosedici GP14. And nine-time Le-Mans-winner Tom Kristensen and reigning DTM-champion Mike Rockenfeller will be presenting their cars for the 2014 motorsport season, the Audi R18 e-tron quattro and the Audi RS5 DTM.
Prof. Dr. Ulrich Hackenberg, Member of the Board of Management for Technical Development at AUDI AG, explains how Audi intends to put Vorsprung durch Technik to even greater advantage: “We will focus on systematically refining assistance systems, make even greater use of connectivity, diversify the drivetrains of the future and of course provide even more efficient and sustainable forms of mobility.”
