AUDI AG at a glance
In 2012, Audi achieved record-breaking figures worldwide. Despite challenging market conditions in some places, the company had yet another record year. The brand with the four rings continued its winning streak in part due to 18 model launches – from the three-door Audi A3 compact model through the Audi RS4 Avant to the efficient Audi A6 hybrid and Audi A8 hybrid. The Audi Group will invest in new products and technologies as well as the expansion of its sites in coming years. For the next three years, AUDI AG plans record-breaking investments of € 11 Billion. The company decided in 2012 to construct a new plant in San José Chiapa, Mexico. Starting in 2016, this facility will produce the successor to the Audi Q5 starting in 2016. In addition, Audi continues to gradually expand its site in Győr, Hungary, to a full-fledged plant. A substantial part of the total investments, € 5,3 Billion from 2013 to 2015, will reinforce the domestic sites Ingolstadt and Neckarsulm.
