A review of 2013
With last year’s 1,925,636 engines, the company produced more than ever before in its history. This record output means that AUDI HUNGARIA MOTOR Kft. continues to be the world’s biggest engine factory.
Audi Hungaria once again demonstrated its ability to perform in 2013, its 20th year: In the engine factory, the 25-millionth engine left the production line; in the automobile plant, the 500,000th Audi TT was produced.
The highlight of last year was the start of series production of the Audi A3 Sedan. In the new automobile plant, 125,000 cars will drive off the assembly line each year: In addition to the Audi A3 Sedan and Audi A3 Cabriolet, the Audi TT Coupé and Audi TT Roadster models will be added in the future. More than € 900 million was invested in the plant expansion and approximately 3,000 new employees had been recruited by the end of 2013. This means that including its suppliers and service providers, Audi Hungaria secures the employment of more than 25,000 people.
At Audi’s site in Hungary, there is a focus on environmental activities as well as promoting the next generations. Continuous further training and development pay off. That is shown by the results of the study by the international student organization AIESEC and the consulting company Aon Hewitt. In 2013, they selected Audi Hungaria for the fifth time in succession as “the most attractive employer in Hungary.”
