Kitzbühel becomes quattro capital
- Audi again partner of the Hahnenkamm race on the ‘Streif’
- Audi A1 quattro world premiere as off piste highlight
- Audi Night in Hotel ‘Zur Tenne’ as social opening
Kitzbühel is the domain of the Four Rings for an entire weekend in January: Audi is again partner of the Hahnenkamm race, which is regarded as the highlight of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup attracting tens of thousands of spectators year in year out. Away from the ‘Streif’ and ‘Ganslern’ a big small automobile attracts attention: the new Audi A1 quattro celebrates its world premiere in Kitzbühel between 20 and 22 January.
The product highlights from Ingolstadt complement the events on the slopes perfectly: the Hahnenkamm race is regarded as the highlight of the Audi FIS Ski World Cup, whose namesake is the automobile manufacturer since more than a decade. The Downhill on the ‘Streif’ on Saturday, the Slalom on the ‘Ganslernhang’ on Sunday and the Super G to start proceedings on Friday, the tradition of the race weekend stretches as far back as 1931 – and it has lost none of its fascination.
The Audi Night on Friday evening forms the social opening. Guests from industry, sport and show business meet in the Hotel ‘Zur Tenne’ at the heart of the ski resort to get into the mood for the weekend. In action as shuttle vehicles this year are the Audi Q7, the Audi A6 Avant and the stretch Audi A8 – quite obviously all with quattro drive.
In addition to banners, balloons, the presentation ceremony’s background panel and the start house in Audi Terminal design, the automobile manufacturer is also present this year with a dedicated Audi fan rendezvous point in the finish area. The prize draw, with participation in the Audi driving experience to win, which runs throughout the entire weekend in Kitzbühel will also arouse interest among supporters on location.
