Audi is “Best Employer” 2014
19,000 employees have had their say: Audi is Germany’s “Best Employer”. In the employee survey carried out by the news magazine FOCUS, the carmaker won both the overall rankings and the “Automobile/Major Corporations” category. The magazine teamed up with the social network Xing to identify the top employers in 22 different industries from a field of 2,000 companies. The biggest factor in Audi’s favor was the readiness of its employees to recommend their company to others. (January 28, 2014)

 “YouGov BrandIndex”: Audi is Germany’s favorite car brand
Audi is the Germans’ favorite car brand. This was confirmed by the “YouGov BrandIndex Top Performer 2013” brand rankings. In the overall rankings covering all industries, the company with the four rings finished in eighth place. The results are based on around 320,000 interviews conducted by YouGov online between June and December 2013. (January 24, 2014)

“What Car? Award” for Audi A3 Sedan and Audi A3 Cabriolet
The British magazine What Car? voted the Audi A3 Sedan “Executive Car of the Year”. The jury praised the compact sedan’s good value for money, outstanding performance and spacious interior. In addition, the Audi A3 Cabriolet received the accolade of “Open-Top of the Year Award” – with its standard of driving enjoyment and the comfortable interior singled out for praise. Audi also came out on top in various sub-categories with the Audi A1, the A3 Sportback, the TT Coupé and the Audi Q3. (January 9, 2014)

“Best Cars” and “Best Brands”: five awards for Audi in Switzerland
The readers of the Swiss magazine auto-illustrierte chose their favorites for the 20th time in the 2014 “Best Cars” awards: 384 models in ten categories made up the field of candidates. The Audi A1 won the “Compact Cars” category with 16 percent of the vote. In the “Best Brands” poll, Audi captured top spot in the “Good Build Quality”, “High Reliability”, “High Resale Value” and “Good Advertising” categories. (January 23, 2014)

Awards for Audi at the CES 2014
There was an array of awards for Audi at this year’s International Consumer Electronics Show (CES) in Las Vegas: The Audi virtual cockpit scooped the following distinctions: “CES Editors’ Choice” from Reviewed.com, “Best of CES” from Wrights Media, and “Best of CES” from pocket-lint.com. The Audi Sport quattro laserlight concept was the winner of the “CES hot stuff Award” from stuff.tv, the “Most Buzzed About at CES Award” from Variety, and the “Breakthrough Technology Award CES 2014” from Popular Science. The Verge voted the online traffic light information service, which connects the car to the central traffic master computer, the “Best Auto Tech”, and Tech Rada chose the Audi smart display as its “Best Car Tech”. The Audi A7 Sportback, which drove itself onto the stage during the Audi keynote speech at the CES, was declared “Best Car” by PC Mag in its “The Best of CES 2014” poll. Audi also received the “CES Editors’ Choice Award” from Reviewed.com for the Open Automotive Alliance with Google, as well as the “Best of CES 2014: Car Tech” award from Expert Reviews. Audi allroad shooting brake showcar impresses at Detroit
The Audi allroad shooting brake showcar, which made its debut appearance at the North American International Auto Show (NAIAS) in Detroit, came away with a number of distinctions. “Engine of the Year”: victory for 4.0 TFSI V8
The U.S. online magazine Digital Trends named the 4.0 TFSI V8 its “Engine of the Year”. The engine impressed the judges with its outstanding efficiency and power. The 4.0 TFSI V8 in the RS 7 Sportback delivers an impressive 412 kW (560 hp) while only using a frugal 9.8 liters of petrol per 100 km. Praise was also given to the innovative cylinder deactivation technology cylinder on demand (COD) which reduces the fuel consumption of the RS 7 Sportback by around five percent.
